Letter to Parents

As we approach the first day of summer camp, preparation is underway to make this summer a safe and wonderful experience for your camper. I would like to take this opportunity to update everyone on what camp will look like this summer. Fortunately, Illinois is preparing to enter the Bridge Phase between Phase 4 and Phase 5 on May 14th. Governor Pritzker is also hopeful that we can fully reopen to Phase 5 by June 11th. For this summer, we will have smaller sized groups with one counselor per group, and groups will be required to stay together at all times from the start to end of each day. Groups will be able to join for activities and sports but will be required to socially distance, and we will definitely be having field trips, swimming, and bussing. This news along with adolescents being able to receive the Covid 19 vaccination all correlates with more fun this summer. Overall, camp is going to be a great experience for everyone! We are so excited that progress is being made with the pandemic and that children will once again get to socialize and have a lot of fun in the warm sunny days of summer.

This summer's plans might change and I need to know what my options are.
